Dark clouds once again surged across the sky. Lightning flashed and thunder roared within the heavy black clouds, while a massive azure dragon drifted through them on clouds and mist.
The dim sky seemed ready to collapse, its oppressive presence bearing down on all of Wano Country. Fear gripped every heart, making them tremble in dread.
"You're truly impressive, brat. All these years, I've been waiting for someone like you to appear."
Kaido poked his ferocious dragon head out from the clouds, his brow raised as he sneered.
"What's your goal, then? Pirate King? The Great Treasure? Or do you want to become the hero who saves this country? Black Snake Reiner, why do you fight?"
"I don't need a reason to fight. I'm different from all of you, Kaido. When I first set sail, I already carried my answer. I'd long since obtained what my heart sought. To me, this is simply a game that will continue until the end of my life."
Reiner looked up at the sky, his back standing tall upon the earth.
"A game that lasts a lifetime..." Kaido lowered his head and stared at Reiner.
He was not an ambitious man vying for power, not an adventurer chasing dreams, nor someone seeking history and truth. He was a player.
He looked down upon the world from a higher heaven, yet was completely immersed within it.
"You're special. I've never met anyone like you. What meaning has this moment been given in your game?"
Kaido watched the scene below with great interest.
"If this battle must have a reason, then I suppose it's to defeat you, and then..."
Reiner fell silent for several seconds, the corner of his mouth curling faintly.
