The turbulent sea surface gradually calmed, and the black mist that had blanketed the sky like storm clouds slowly dispersed as well.
At some point, the sun had already sunk below the horizon. A lingering wash of dusky gold darkened the western sky, while a crescent moon had somehow risen in the Klein blue sky to the east.

Only after his Observation Haki sensed that Teach had completely stopped breathing did Reiner finally stop moving and let out a breath. Satisfied, he clapped his hands, landed on the ground, and walked toward the crater that had been blasted beyond recognition.
The scorched earth still radiated heat, wisps of smoke rising from it. The moment his feet touched down, he could feel the searing heat even through his shoes.
"Ah-dah-dah-dah! Hot, hot!"
Luffy cried out as he repeatedly hopped from foot to foot, his soles red and swollen from the heat. His clothes were tattered all over.
The moment he saw Reiner approach, Luffy rolled his eyes and angrily pointed at his nose.
"You burned me to death, you bastard! Were you trying to kill me too?!"
"You're still alive? Tch."
Faced with Luffy's accusation, Reiner merely clicked his tongue and turned his face away regretfully.
"What a shame. I almost got to become captain."
"What?!"
Luffy's eyes widened so much that his jaw nearly dropped. He shouted in furious panic.
"I knew you did that on purpose, you bastard! Dream on! I'm never giving you the captain's position!"
"Yeah, yeah. Like anyone actually wants to be this captain."
Reiner raised a hand and dug at his ear before heading straight deeper into the area.
Teach lay motionless on the ground, his body split open and mangled. Under the extreme heat, his flesh and
