White clouds drifted across the azure sky, a small wooden boat bobbing on the calm, blue sea.
Luffy sat at the bow, while Zoro leaned back against the railing.
"We still need to find a navigator later," Reiner said airily, lying on the deck and staring up at the sky, bored.
Luffy paused at his words. "What's a navigator?"
Zoro: "..."
"A navigator is someone who steers the ship," Reiner explained to Luffy. "It's very dangerous if you encounter bad weather at sea. We need someone who understands navigation."
This was a serious matter. The Grand Line had all sorts of bizarre and unpredictable weather and ocean conditions. Even in the East Blue, being caught in a large storm often meant certain death. Even someone as powerful as Golden Lion couldn't stop the mighty force of nature.
After a while, they suddenly heard shouts from a distance.
Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
Following the sound, they saw a small boat heading their way, with an orange-haired girl on the deck frantically rowing. She was being pursued by a pirate ship flying the Black Cat Flag. The pirate ship had a massive black cat head at its bow, and many pirates stood on deck, yelling angrily at the small boat ahead.
"You bastard! How dare you steal our treasure!"
"Catch her quickly!"
The person being chased was Nami. After stealing a navigation chart from Buggy and leaving, she had coincidentally encountered the Black Cat Pirates at sea. As a pirate thief, Nami couldn't resist sneaking onto their ship and stealing some treasure. Just as she was about to slip away, she was accidentally discovered.
"Why is someone walking backward, you idiot!" Nami roared in frustration. She had been about to get away, hiding in a corner, waiting for someone to pass by so she could sneak off the ship from behind them. But that person had been walking backward! Nami, rushing out from the corner, ran right into them.
On the pirate ship, Jango heard Nami's furious shout and said smugly, "This is my dance move. Has it completely conquered you?"
"Conquer my foot!" Nami rowed desperately. Suddenly, she saw a small boat ahead and her heart instantly filled with joy. She shouted directly at them, "Help!"
Asking for help? No, she's just trying to divert trouble.
"What do you say, should we get involved?" Zoro asked Luffy.
Luffy stood at the bow, looking at Nami calling for help, then at the pirates behind her. A strange smile appeared on his face. "Alright everyone, get ready for a fight!"
With that, he grabbed the bow of the ship, stretched his arms back, and pulled himself back like a slingshot, aiming himself at the Black Cat Pirates and launching himself forward. Zoro grabbed Luffy's leg and flew out with him, while Reiner stayed behind to guard the ship. He had already recognized Nami, and their ship was slowly drawing closer.
Boom!
Luffy and Zoro, like human cannonballs, slammed directly into the Black Cat Pirates' ship, knocking several pirates down the moment they landed.
"Who are you?!"
"Are they the thief's accomplices?" The pirates surrounded them, raising their guns and drawing their swords.
A stylish man with heart-shaped glasses stepped forward, looking at Luffy and Zoro. He spoke indifferently, "Who cares? Just capture them first. Go!"
"Yes, Captain Jango!"
As Jango's words fell, all the pirates immediately charged forward excitedly, and the battle on the ship instantly erupted.
Ever since Kuro had faked his retirement three years ago, Jango had become the acting captain. Now, Kuro's plan was nearing completion, and they were heading towards Syrup Village. But they had unexpectedly run into a thief halfway, who had taken most of their treasure. If they showed up to Kuro like this, he'd surely skin them alive.
However, Luffy and Zoro's combat power was almost unrivaled in the East Blue, especially since the Black Cat Pirates had 'lost' their captain, Kuro, three years ago. The first few pirates who charged at them were sent flying back instantly, before they even realized what had happened.
"Wh-what's going on?"
"These two aren't simple. Everyone, attack together!"
The pirates' expressions grew serious, and they swarmed forward.
However, with such a vast power difference, numbers ceased to be an advantage. The pirates surged forward like waves, only to be beaten back.
"...So strong!"
Nami couldn't help but exclaim as she watched the situation on the ship.
Originally, she had just intended to divert the trouble, but from the looks of it, these two might actually wipe out the entire opposing crew.
"Yo, so much money."
Reiner had already appeared on Nami's ship without her noticing.
He opened a bag lying on the deck, and inside, it gleamed with dazzling gold—pure treasure.
Hearing the sudden voice behind her, Nami gasped in surprise and spun around to look.
A blond man was crouched in front of the treasure she had just stolen, scaring her so much that she dashed forward and snatched it away.
"Uh, um, thank you for saving me. My name is Nami, and it's very nice to meet you."
Nami was a little flustered. She hid the treasure behind her and changed the subject.
"Then you're happy too soon."
Reiner was expressionless. He extended his hand, palm up, making a gesture for her to hand something over.
"I! A pirate! I'm robbing you!"
"What?!"
Nami was startled. The other party had three people, a small boat, and no flag flying, which was why she dared to approach.
And it turned out they were pirates!
Had she walked straight into the lion's den?
She pulled a three-section staff from Nami's Valley and combined it into a long staff, warily eyeing Reiner.
Nami thought to herself, He's only one person. If I'm careful, I might have a chance to get away.
Thud!
Thud! A tall and a thin figure suddenly landed on the small boat. Both had sharp cat-claw gloves on their hands. It was the Nyaban Brothers, Sam and Butchie.
"Hee hee hee."
Sam chuckled sinisterly, sizing up the two. "You dared to steal from our ship. Have you thought about how you want to die?"
Nami looked at the two figures in a panic. A thought flashed through her mind, and she turned her head, looking pitifully at Reiner:
"Boss! They were chasing me!"
Diverting trouble, round two.
Reiner glanced at Nami with interest. She was quite pretty, but she played dirty.
He slowly lit a cigarette and glanced playfully at the Nyaban Brothers.
"With a laugh like that, you won't live long, little brother."
"What did you say?!"
Sam's face darkened as he glared at Reiner. This was the first time they had encountered someone who dared to speak to them like that.
He licked the sharp claws on his hand and showed a fierce glint in his eyes.
"We are the Nyaban Brothers, with a bounty of seven million Beli. From what you're saying, you want to fight us?"
"Tsk tsk tsk, licking your blades? That action will shorten your life even more, little guy."
"Screech—screech—"
A sharp, grating sound suddenly rang out, and two figures emerged directly from the small boat's cabin.
One was draped in a long trench coat, dressed entirely in black, with a grotesque face, sharp teeth, and a long blade extending forward from his forehead as if it had been pierced through. Two more blades extended from his hands.
The other wore a white shirt and gray-black trousers, with a tie at his chest and sneakers on his feet, looking exactly like a youthful teenager.
However, he was the one who struck immense fear into the faces of both the Nyaban Brothers and Nami.
The sharp, grating sound had just come from him, because extending from his hands and forehead were…
...three terrifying, grotesque chainsaws!
"What the hell are those things?!"
Nami shrieked, collapsing onto the ground. She trembled and shuffled backward, looking at the two demonic, terrifying figures, until she was stopped by the railing, at which point she suddenly realized.
Gulp~
The Nyaban Brothers swallowed, their eyes wide with fear, staring intently at the two figures. At this moment, they wished they could just die.
This was no longer a question of whether they could win. They looked too terrifying, especially those three whirring chainsaws.
If we get touched, we'll be butchered, was the only thought left in their minds.
Reiner took the cigarette from his mouth and stepped on it, smiling gently at the Nyaban Brothers.
"Let me introduce you. This is Little Blade, and this is Little Saw."
"So, you two brothers are worth seven million, huh?"
"Wait a minute!"
Cold sweat continuously seeped from the Nyaban Brothers' foreheads. They stumbled backward, trembling, and couldn't help but gasp as the two demons approached.
"Don't come any closer!"
