By the riverside on the eastern bank of Little Garden, near the Going Merry.
"You guys really aren't cutting it."
Reiner watched mockingly as a Triceratops and a Tyrannosaurus Rex lay on the ground. These were the prey Sanji and Zoro had hunted.
"Bastard, you cheated with Undead!"
"Forget Undead for a second, you didn't even hunt that on the island, did you?"
Zoro and Sanji grumbled, baring their teeth.
"What are you talking about! How can using a Devil Fruit be called cheating?" Reiner retorted, annoyed, and immediately burst out swearing:
"Besides, that giant turtle was caught on the island, who said turtles can't come ashore! I'm calling my lawyer!"
"You damn blonde!"
"What did you say, moss-head?"
"I didn't say anything about your curly eyebrows!"
Zoro changed his insult again, "You damn four-eyes!"
Bang! Bang!
Just as the three of them were arguing heatedly, a colossal sound came from behind them. They turned to look and saw Dorry and Broggy.
"It's the giant uncles!"
"They must be here to see me off."
"Hey, Uncle! See ya!" Everyone looked up and waved goodbye to the giants.
Dorry and Broggy put their hands on their hips and let out boisterous laughter. "Gahahahaha, see ya, lads!"
"No matter what you encounter later, just keep going straight!"
"Straight ahead, huh? Oh, okay! We got it!" Luffy grinned, shouting.
One by one, they boarded the ship. Reiner summoned the Undead, pulled up the anchor, and began operating the vessel.
The Going Merry sailed down the river, past lush primeval forests on both banks, the dense tree shadows and tangled green vines slowly receding as the ship entered the ocean and left the island.
Just a few kilometers out, the calm sea suddenly surged with waves. The small boat, a mere leaf on the vast ocean, swayed violently on the turbulent swells as a massive, terrifying dark shadow gradually emerged.
Splash—!
Breaking through the water, a gigantic sea monster suddenly appeared. Its monstrous maw opened like a dark, abyssal chasm, and seawater poured into the seemingly bottomless pit.
Nami panicked, slumping onto the deck and screaming repeatedly, "Wahhh! What kind of monster is that!!"
"We're gonna die! We're gonna die!"
"No, I can't control the ship at all!"
The Going Merry lost all control, steadily drawn towards the abyss by the rushing seawater.
The Island Eater Goldfish, a legendary giant sea monster written into ancient tales, feeds on islands. It's rumored that its excrement resembles land.
Facing such a monster, capable of overturning rivers and seas with a mere flick of its body, everyone couldn't help but feel a sense of despair just by looking at it. Even the usually calm and collected Zoro frowned, gritting his teeth, his expression grave.
Looking at the Island Eater Goldfish before them, whose single tooth was bigger than the Going Merry, Reiner couldn't help but click his tongue.
He glanced back at the two giants, who had already taken their stance, preparing to unleash their power, radiating an unprecedentedly terrifying aura.
Since it's the uncles' kind intention, let's leave it to them.
Reiner gave up on summoning the Blue and Red Ogres; a combined attack on the ship would likely cause significant damage to the Going Merry due to the recoil.
Reiner's brows gradually relaxed, and a subtle smile played on his lips. He faced the abyss before him, unperturbed.
"Everyone! Straight ahead!!"
Luffy sat cross-legged on the sheep's head, shouting. There was no fear in his eyes, only firm trust in the giants.
"Straight ahead, my foot! We're about to die!"
The Going Merry gradually sailed into the monstrous maw. The visibility grew dim, until it was pitch black.
Suddenly, two rough voices entered their ears, filled with immense pride.
"The only thing that can stop us!!"
"Is that blood-stained great serpent!!"
"Please, everyone, experience the strongest secret technique from the Land of Giants—"
Bending their legs, gripping their swords and axes tightly, the two giants simultaneously assumed a baseball swing stance, the wild aura chilling to the bone. A ferocious roar echoed through the sky:
"Elbaf Spear!!"
"Haki Nation!!!!!"
Boom!!!!!!
A strong gust of wind suddenly rose, blowing from behind Reiner, making his golden hair wildly dance.
Like deafening thunder, the darkness was instantly torn apart. A blinding white light was incredibly dazzling, and a terrifying wind pressure propelled the Going Merry forward.
"Straight ahead!"
"Th-th-the ocean!"
"It's been split open!!!"
"Holy cow—!"
Everyone on the ship, without exception, stared wide-eyed, jaws dropped to the floor.
Reiner's mouth hung open, and he couldn't help but blurt out something strange, utterly astonished by the sight of the ocean split in two before him.
Looking back, the figures of the two giants rapidly shrunk, their weapons shattered and scattered.
"With such power, they still managed to avoid affecting Going Merry in the slightest."
Reiner was secretly shocked, and his understanding of Haki shifted slightly. Did I misjudge Teacher Kai?
He then recalled Kaido's roar, followed by his immediate transformation and a blast of dragon fire.
On the island, the two giants dropped the broken handles of their weapons and picked up their round shields.
They quietly watched the small ship gradually sail away, until Going Merry became a black speck and vanished on the horizon.
Dorry gazed at the meeting point of sea and sky, a faint voice carrying from him: "A boy who dreams big, and another boy with no ambition.
"Many years ago, people like that seemed to have visited this island, one after another."
"I think so, but I can't remember," Broggy simply replied.
"Gahahaha!"
The two giants stood there, laughing uproariously at the sky, their black capes flapping loudly behind them, their shadows stretching long.
Bang—!
"Whoa, the volcano erupted, Dorry."
"Let's duel, Broggy, gahahaha!"
The century-long battle didn't end with the shattering of their weapons.
The sun slowly set into the sea, stars shifted, and a crescent moon hung high in the black sky.
In the tranquil ocean, Going Merry was anything but quiet at that moment.
"Go, Zoro!"
"Sanji, you dropped the shampoo!"
On the deck, a group of people were watching two figures, one yellow and one green, as Zoro and Sanji stood on their heads against the first-floor cabin.
Both gritted their teeth, eyes tightly shut, veins prominently bulging on their foreheads, clearly annoyed by the cheering and jeering from the onlookers.
"Damn four-eyes!"
"I'll cut you down eventually!"
"Stop cursing, stop cursing." Reiner smiled, bringing over two wooden basins full of water and pushing them across the deck to place them under their heads.
At first, the trio had been arguing fiercely, but finally decided to let everyone else vote on the winner.
Zoro and Sanji's catches were almost identical, but to see someone else embarrassed, everyone unanimously ruled that Reiner's use of Undead was not against the rules.
"Hahaha, go Zoro!"
"Reiner and Sanji embarrass themselves often, but I never thought this poker-faced guy would have his day."
These words seemed to be aimed at Zoro.
Reiner squeezed out some shampoo and directly rubbed it onto their heads. "Alright, begin your performance."
Both gritted their teeth, faces full of impatience, one hand supporting them while the other quickly rubbed their heads, wishing they could finish quickly and crawl into a crack in the ground.
"Hahaha."
"Gah-gah!!"
Everyone burst into laughter watching them, while only Reiner took the opportunity to snap a photo and quickly slip away.
"Too bad there's no social media."
Reiner sighed with a smile, then ran to the back of the ship, climbed down the outer wall, summoned a dozen Fish-men to stack together, and lay down directly on them as if it were a bed.
"Tonight is destined to be restless." He decided not to return to his dorm to sleep tonight.
Sure enough, it wasn't long before roars came from the ship.
"You bastard, get out here! I'll cut you down!"
"Four-eyes, do you believe I'll smash your glasses?!"
Reiner gave a bitter smile, rolled over, and lit a cigarette. "Now I'm stuck with the nickname Shinpachi."
