Since yesterday, my wife had been feeling some aches in her lower back and all over her body. She'd had a mild fever of 37.5 degrees last night, and today it had peaked at around 38.6. At first, I thought she might just have a cold. She'd been even more of a homebody than me lately and barely went out except to take our kid to kindergarten. But after taking an antigen test at 11 today, it turned out she really was positive.
As for me, I'd felt perfectly fine yesterday and all through this morning, but after lunch, my lower back and body started aching too. I just checked my temperature, and it was 37.5. I haven't taken an antigen test, but I'm guessing there's no escaping it.
At the moment, my mind and body are still in pretty good shape. Aside from some mild muscle aches, like I'd spent an hour lifting weights yesterday, I don't have any other symptoms. Still, I figure tomorrow or the day after will be the hardest part.
Well, that's why my writing has felt especially off these past couple of days. No matter how I write, it just doesn't feel the way I want it to. So please bear with me if today's update feels a little padded.
The only thing I'm worried about now is our little kitty. I hope it's true what they say: kids get sick fast, but they recover fast too.
