This was already the twelfth time in the past two weeks that Creel Belmont had listened to this guy ramble. It was always the same: how hard things were for him, how much he had struggled, how much pressure he had borne, how he had put everything on the line for the Alliance, and so on.
He always felt like Yu Lian was acting all put-upon after getting what he wanted, but he couldn't find any proof. So he gazed at the other man with abundant gratitude, grasped his hands tightly, then squeezed out a businesslike smile. "Exactly. That's what makes you my Alliance's unbreakable blood brother! That's why the Grand Leaders of every generation have always said the Commonwealth is the cornerstone of stability in the universe, and that maintaining lasting, friendly relations with the Commonwealth is an unshakable national policy of our Alliance."
"What a waste of half a minute!" Yu Lian shot him a sideways glance. "I could've played a whole match in the Gaboa Online arena in that time. My old rival beat me by one move last time, and he's been gloating in my DMs for two months. But I haven't even had time to go get my revenge."
"That's why I said... if you want, I can have the Universal send you some Paradise Armaments as a gift package. I'm sure your rival could be banned for one reason or another."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. These power-abusing insiders really make my fists itch!" Yu Lian felt there was now one more reason to hang his old friend Creel from a lamppost.
