At the edge of the horizon, steel silhouettes formed a silver-gray boundary, dividing the cloudless azure sky from the emerald-green fields into two entirely different worlds. As the steel line began advancing step by step, even the morning light in space seemed to lose its color. These dozens of armored fortresses formed the mechanical army's skyline. Scattered among them were all sorts of mechanical soldiers. Some were humanoid walkers carrying guns, like steel skeletons. Others were crawling armor units equipped with Vulcan cannons and honeycomb missile pods, moving on hydraulic legs like giant spiders. There were also terrifying robots no bigger than rats, darting through gaps in the ranks and killing with cutters or suicide attacks.
