Last week, Little Meow caught herpangina. Of course, compared with some of his classmates, who had fevers of 40 degrees and spent a whole week in bed, his temperature only reached 38.5 at its highest, and he was already bouncing around again two days later. He recovered quickly and was in pretty good shape. I'm very relieved.
But all those days stuck at home over the past few days used up every bit of my backlog. Even worse, the kindergarten said he couldn't return for two weeks after getting herpangina. By then, it would be the last week of July—almost time for summer vacation anyway.
I've come to think summer vacation is an utterly inhumane invention and should just be abolished. But since things had turned out this way, I decided to take him out for a trip. The two of us are already by Dianchi Lake.
We're not sure how long we'll be away, but I'll be a little less restrained with updates this month. Thanks for understanding.
As for regular updates, even if I can't get back to them in August, I definitely will in September, once Little Meow starts school.
Don't blame me. If you have to blame someone, blame summer vacation, that inhumane invention. That's all.
