To Feifei, the insect swarm was certainly nothing new. Ever since Yu Lian's report after the battle at New Jade Gate over three years ago, she had made a note of it.
Although Yu Lian's report had never been officially acknowledged by the Commonwealth, and had not even attracted the attention of the Alliance's Adventurers' Association, at most it had been treated as a harmful new species of native on the New Continent. There had been tens of thousands of cases like this during the Age of Exploration. At their worst, they had caused planetary catastrophes that claimed tens of millions of lives.
But on the scale of the entire universe, they were truly only minor problems.
Still, since Yu Lian had brought it up, it deserved at least some token attention. So she had begun investigating through her own private intelligence channels, but had found very little.
The next time these things showed themselves to the public was during the Glorious Mission military exercises. When the Marauders attacked Lion's Den Fortress and the Faraway Star System, they seemed to have deployed a large number of biological weapons.
After that, these dangerous species had made quite a splash in the New Continent's "War of Judgment." Even now, everyone still agreed that these things were weapons of war.
