The dense barrage of bullets nearly covered the entire passage, but an invisible force dissipated their kinetic energy. Wrapped in that force, a colossal steel body charged forward like a rampaging rhinoceros, crushing every enemy who dared shoot at it beneath its feet.
The twisted robot sparked and burst into flames, while the limbs inside the mangled mech were left in a horrifying state.
The troll psychic, who had been shielded by the robots, had nowhere left to retreat. He opened his enormous mouth, about to roar out another elemental incantation, when the steel giant across from him let out a thunderous roar of his own.
"Take this!" He slammed a heavy left hook into the troll's gaping maw, knocking out an entire row of sharp teeth in one blow.
"Whoa! What a Spirit Research Explosive Fist!" Killian watched in rapture. His telekinetically controlled blades danced wildly, cutting down seven or eight armed enemies on the spot.
Then the steel giant launched into another flurry of punches, swinging up and down. His fists moved as fast as bullets, hammering the troll's face and chest until the creature couldn't fight back at all.
"What a Lightning-Fast Bullet Fist! When will I ever reach that level?" Killian gazed at him with admiration, while also guiding his telekinetic blade toward the troll for a sneak attack.
The sneak attack worked. The troll's Achilles tendon was torn open, and his body jerked to a halt, leaving his guard wide open in an instant.
"Hooh!" The steel giant didn't let the opportunity go to waste. He drove a thick elbow into the troll's throat.
"Whoa! What a Life-Breaking Strike!" Killian was deeply moved. What he really needed to learn, he realized, was how to seize an opening like that.
