"Demon's Throat, I'm back!" Horatio Wayne gazed at the galaxy that had received the most screen time during the past War of Condemnation, at the galaxy where he had also shed his blood, and was filled with emotion for a moment.
At twenty-six, everywhere he looked, he saw the figure he had been at twenty-four.
"It's called Dawn Pass now," Kent reminded him expressionlessly.
"They even renamed the fortress Unity Fortress, but the old name suited it better." Wayne sneered.
Everyone had, of course, already seen the misshapen wreckage of Unity Fortress. The enormous space ruin looked, at first glance, like a shriveled apple core that had lost all its moisture. It was covered in the scars of history, and merely looking at it made one's blood run cold.
Kent thought the thing looked downright sinister. But when he thought about it carefully, the fact that the solid-steel "apple core" contained the remains of hundreds of thousands of people did make sense.
The situation was just as everyone had imagined. More engineering ships were busy as worker bees less than three hundred thousand kilometers from the wreckage of Unity Fortress.
The framework of a space city had already been erected.
"Are they really rebuilding the fortress? No, they're building an entirely new fortress from scratch." Wayne said.
"Judging by its scale, it hasn't reached the level of a fortress. It looks more like some kind of functional space city." Kent said.
"In other words, it's the initial groundwork for constructing the fortress."
That deduction was indeed quite logical.
However, Kent felt that things could not be so simple. Through a radio telescope, he had personally seen numerous engineering ships circling the remains of Unity Fortress, like flies dancing on a whole cluster of graves.
Unfortunately, the distance was simply too
