At 10:27 a.m. on May 16, forty-eight minutes after the battle officially began, the main guns of every Earth fleet vessel still in action had been pounding the Tirillo warship Audacious for over ten minutes.
Boosted by the main god-class Mysticism unit, the Commonwealth fleet's bombardment continued to strike the towering vessel with pinpoint accuracy. As mentioned before, it was perhaps the Imperial fleet's largest Titan by frontal profile, making it the obvious target for concentrated fire.
In just ten minutes, at least forty or fifty energy beams and railgun shells had struck within the range of Audacious's force-field shields. At least a third had finally pierced the walls of interwoven light and shadow, making contact with its physical armor.
Yet everyone aboard the main god-class vessel felt their scalps go numb. It was like trying to crack a stubborn walnut with no tools.
