A newly inducted member of the Thirteen Faces, codenamed "Black Snake," Titchman Plank—once one of the New Continent's most notorious pirate kings—stared into the boundless depths of space, at the surging fires of war, and shuddered. Then he looked toward another stretch of stars. Through the porthole and across countless galaxies, he could almost see the Southern Heavenly Gate.
At that moment, Captain Plank, now sporting a serpent's head, sat in his seat aboard the ancient vessel. His gaze was full of longing, and everything he saw reminded him of his days as a pirate.
He missed those days. Though he'd had to hide from pursuers, though death had always been just around the corner, though he'd barely slept or eaten in peace, he'd been happy.
More importantly, back then, he hadn't had to take part in a battle like this!
Captain Plank turned and carefully studied the unending battle raging on the other side of the stars. With his current abilities, his naked eyes could hardly make out anything clearly, but he could at least see the densely packed beams of light flashing and the dark, roiling storms.
He couldn't help shivering. He felt that if he kept looking with his naked eyes, his sanity would soon be gone.
On the ship's console, all he could see was a tangle of gravitation and energy turbulence, as though they'd be torn to pieces if they drew even a few meters closer.
This was, of course, the spectacular and brutal scene of the mighty Tiyangkai swarming around the Ghost Dreadnought.
As a promising pirate, Captain Titchman Plank dared to swear on the Pirate Code before the Spirit of the Universe that he'd spent decades roaming the stars and had seen plenty. He'd even furtively watched the so-called "War of Judgment" back
