Synopsis
The great war between the Galactic Community and the Empire had reached its climax, and the Great Expedition was about to begin.
On the remote planet of Jade Pool, however, Marshal Li Yuangele's Community garrison and the Empire's occupying forces had been locked in a standoff for months.
Amid the turmoil in the Galactic heartland, communications had been cut off. Neither side had received orders from home to cease fire, nor instructions to continue the siege.
Republican Major General Schiller, commander of the Jade Pool forces (played by Robert Williams), and Imperial Lieutenant General Metig, commander of the Dawn Star Sector (played by Christopher Bell), began making secret contact through the Alliance Intelligence Department to discuss a de facto ceasefire.
On Marshal Li Yuangele's side, Colonel Meng Jiao (played by Ma Dongtie) believed they could seize the opportunity during the Empire's ceasefire to launch a surprise attack and win a total victory. Colonel Simon Vayali (played by Edel Meinered), however, agreed with Major General Schiller.
In the end, Marshal Li Yuangele's headquarters reached a consensus and agreed to open negotiations with the Empire.
But on the way to the meeting site, General Schiller's convoy was ambushed, and the general was assassinated.
The evidence at the scene pointed to Imperial military weapons. Outrage swept through the city of Li Yuangele, and civilian representatives demanded immediate revenge. At this critical moment,
