It really was a journey that treated all lawless women very kindly—not just the two who were plotting some rather indecent acts of terror, but this "girl" as well. Though by now, it was hard to say whether she was a mutant monster or a lady.
She had indeed obtained the greatest treasure her father had left her, an ancient relic called the "Leviathan's Nest." Now, the treasure had completely merged with her body, nourishing every cell and every protozoan within her.
The "girl" knew that if she had just one more year, one in every million protozoans in her body would become a "lord," and one in every hundred million would develop a "Leviathan" core.
She already knew what kind of cataclysm this ancient relic had unleashed in the previous civilization's era. Even the Enlighteners, whose civilization rivaled that of the gods, had needed to exert every effort to suppress the insect swarm it had strengthened and cool the Leviathan's Nest's activity.
Of course, perhaps out of consideration for the diversity of civilizations, the Enlighteners hadn't wiped out the swarm entirely. After sealing away the "Leviathan's Nest" and the "Insect Queen's Heart," they had bundled up the remaining bugs and frozen them in a remote corner of the universe. But she was, after all, an uneducated little girl, and had no interest in history from a million years ago. What truly thrilled her was that she finally had a "teacher"—someone who could teach her how to systematically build an insect-swarm army.
