Another Day Off

The baby was diagnosed with acute suppurative tonsillitis. Fortunately, it wasn't sepsis. But the fever wouldn't go down for the first two days, and it reached as high as 40 degrees. So the baby had to start getting IV drips yesterday, and would need them for four or five days. Also, because of the pandemic, the medication had to be prescribed one day at a time. Since the baby had a fever, tomorrow we'd have to go through the fever clinic process. So I had no choice but to keep taking time off and letting everyone down.

This was the biggest illness the baby had had since birth. What an ordeal.
