This island naturally wasn't the one from last time. It was a mountain range floating in the gray ocean of the Void. The mountains stood tall and majestic, veiled in mist, with groves of emerald bamboo and ancient pines welcoming visitors. From within, one couldn't see where the range ended, and the scenery seemed to stretch on in all its splendor, like countless white waterfalls cascading down the mountainsides.
Looking more closely, winding paths had already been built through the mountains and woods, leading to elegant, hidden pavilions nestled among the peaks and trees.
If he ignored the construction robots waiting in caves and the five-colored strength demons quivering beneath the trees, Yu Lian might even have sighed at the magnificent air of this immortal's sanctuary.
Even so, he couldn't help sincerely marveling: when it came to putting on a show, he really had to hand it to his cheap old master.

The five-colored strength demons hiding beneath the trees watched Yu Lian's every move with utmost caution. They hardly dared to breathe. Though they were terrified to the utmost, they didn't dare hide, much less move.
These were very low-level Void beasts. They possessed rudimentary intelligence and were ferocious and cruel, with keen senses and a strong spiritual perception. They could glide through the spirit-particle ocean of the gray mist, making them natural predators with a certain resemblance to packs of wolves in the Void. Yet, like wolves, they knew when to pick their battles. When they encountered weaker prey, they would summon their fellows and swarm in to tear it apart. But when they met a foe who could beat them all to a pulp, they were quite happy to play the dog.
