Lu Yin caught it and dug in without hesitation.
A huge pile of bones lay on the ground. Lu Yin patted his belly. Had he gotten fat?
"Oh, no! I forgot something!" Hui Kong suddenly slapped his forehead, startling Lu Yin.
Lu Yin stared at him blankly.
Hui Kong lowered his head and thought for a moment, then said ruefully, "How could I forget him?"
"Big Brother, what is it?" Lu Yin asked.
Hui Kong looked apologetic. "Sorry, little brother. I might not be able to send you back to the Outer Universe. Maybe you could wait another century or so?"
Lu Yin blinked. "Big Brother, don't joke around."
Hui Kong sighed. "I'm not joking. Ever since I barged into this wretched place, I've caused a lot of damage. Did you really think the Technology Starfield was relying only on those mechanical monsters to deal with me? That's too naive. To keep me in check, the Main Brain of the Technology Starfield sends an Absolute Expert to deal with me every so often. Usually, we fight for a hundred years straight."
"I'd planned to send you away, but there might not be enough time."
Lu Yin's heart sank. He couldn't stay in the Technology Starfield for a century. By then, it would be too late. "Big Brother, is there really no other way? With your strength, crossing the Technology Starfield should take only an instant."
Hui Kong smiled bitterly. "Crossing the universe is indeed quick in the human starfields, but the Technology Starfield is different. It's covered in mechanical defenses. Wherever I go, the mechanical defenses there grow infinitely stronger. The area around me is covered by a Heavenly Net, and even the void is sealed.
