Lance was the first to arrive at the marketplace, looking around with curiosity.
The marketplace was nestled in a mountain hollow. Every so often, he came across a spot that looked like a stall. People passed by from time to time, looking at one stall, then another.
"This junior needs to use a Void Ring!" someone shouted. In the distance, the air in front of a cultivator split open, and a Void Ring appeared.
Lance's eyes flickered. This was a place for trading; anyone who wanted to make a trade could request the use of a Void Ring.
To many people in the New Universe, this was commonplace. But for Lance and the others, it was a first. It was also the first time people from the Inner Universe had taken part in the struggle for the Star Tower.
Footsteps sounded behind him. A burly, ugly-looking man appeared at Lance's back. "Brother, you're from the Inner Universe, right?"
Lance turned to look at him. "What do you want?"
The burly man grinned, staring at Lance. "I didn't expect the rumors to be true. Even a backwater place like the Inner Universe has people who can come compete for the Star Tower's inheritance. What a joke."
Lance narrowed his eyes, ignored him, and walked on.
The burly man flashed in front of Lance, blocking his way. "I'm talking to you. Answer me! What's your name? Where are you from? Show me what you've got. If you're good enough, follow me. I'll give you some resources."
The burly man's voice was loud, drawing the attention of quite a few people.
Everyone here was from the New Universe, and they had always looked down on the Inner Universe.
They hadn't even fought in the war when the Sixth Continent invaded.
Lance frowned. "Move."
