Not long afterward, the two reached the very back. Ice Emperor pointed to the wooden slip at the far end. "Alliance Leader Lu, you can take a look at that one. It records the earliest history."
Lu Yin was curious. He immediately picked it up and opened it, only to find that the writing had long since vanished. He took a second slip, but it was the same. He looked at Ice Emperor.
Ice Emperor sighed. "Writing has a limited lifespan, too. It's been far too many years. If these wooden slips weren't made from such unusual material, they'd have vanished long ago. Look farther ahead. Quite a few slips have already weathered away. Our Emperor Ice Continent has lost a great deal of its history."
"But Shao Yangxun seemed to be hiding something when he spoke to me. I told him Emperor Ice Continent could be relocated, but he refused and said it couldn't be moved. Surely City Lord Ice Emperor knows why." Lu Yin's tone was cool. "I'll do what I can to help, but if City Lord Ice Emperor is withholding something, then I'll take my leave."
Ice Emperor smiled. "I'm not hiding anything. I'm only telling Alliance Leader Lu that our Emperor Ice Continent has lost a great deal of history. But some of it was never recorded; it was passed down by word of mouth. We don't know why, but it has been handed down all the same."
Lu Yin was curious.
Ice Emperor pointed beneath them. "Under Extreme Ice City, at the center of Emperor Ice Continent, there's an Original Treasure Formation. It's a seal."
"A seal? What does it seal?" Lu Yin was surprised. Anything involving an Original Treasure Formation piqued his curiosity. Not just anyone could set one up, especially one covering
