Though the Giant Right Arm had a wide attack range, its power was never a match for Xia Tai Li's Water Grass or Wen Diyi's fan. After one round of attacks, at most one or two withered creatures would grow stronger. But his attacks could empower four or five.
With a bang, Wen Diyi dodged. A huge withered creature roared where he'd been standing, its strength at the Enlightenment Realm. He raised his fan and swept it through the air. A bone-eroding gale blasted past, making the creature's flesh dissolve.
"Brother Long Qi, don't use that treasure. Just fight them one at a time. At least you won't make things worse!" Wen Diyi called out. He kept sending gales skyward, keeping the bats from coming close.
Lu Yin sheepishly put away the Giant Right Arm. He struck down the creatures one by one. It was slower, but at least it wouldn't empower too many of them.
Half a day later, all three were exhausted. Huge withered creatures crowded around them, while overhead, the bats suddenly clumped tightly together as if fusing into a single being. They formed an enormous bat that bore down on the three of them.
Wen Diyi jumped in alarm. He raised his hand, and golden ancient characters formed a Textual Prison that trapped the bat. A second Textual Prison appeared, then a third, a fourth, until he had cast a seventh.
"Seven-layer Textual Prison," Xia Tai Li exclaimed. "You've actually cultivated it to the seventh layer?"
Lu Yin was surprised. The Textual Prison could do that?
Wen Diyi looked exhausted. Panting, he said, "I've pushed beyond my limits. Your turn."
Xia Tai Li looked confused.
"Use your treasure to protect us first," Wen Diyi said. "Otherwise, these creatures will go on forever. We'll never kill them
