Lu Yin thought about it. It did seem that way. "The Nong family has an open and easygoing family culture. You've certainly broadened my horizons, brother."
"Haha, all right. A couple of strokes with the hoe will do. If you're interested, you can come back after the tour of the Seed Garden and keep at it. There's no time limit." Nong Lie laughed. He took off the white cloth wrapped around his head and wiped away his sweat, then wiped his shoulders. He really had been sweating.
Shang Qing calmly set down his hoe without so much as wrinkling his clothes. Liu Tianmu's expression was composed, and she held the hoe as if it were a sword.
Fatty Bai sidled up to Nong Lie with a shifty grin. "Brother, could I plant something here for myself?"
Nong Lie shrugged. "Sorry, only Brother Long Qi can. He's the invited guest." At that, he turned to Lu Yin. "Brother Long Qi, would you like to plant something?"
Lu Yin saw Fatty Bai give him a meaningful look, so he nodded and smiled. "Thank you, Brother Nong Lie."
"Come on. I'll show you around the Seed Garden," Nong Lie said with a laugh.
The Seed Garden covered a vast area and was full of pastoral charm. Many people lived there, most of them ordinary folk tending the fields. Surely ordinary people couldn't cultivate that kind of land?
"Ordinary people have their own land to cultivate, and cultivators have theirs. The two don't border each other," Nong Lie explained.
A short distance away, a group of strange creatures gathered together, curiously watching Lu Yin and the others.
Lu Yin was even more curious about them. One looked like a tree root with grass growing from its head—and it even had eyes and a nose.
