Lu Yin narrowed his eyes, neither humble nor arrogant. "A clan member from a branch challenged me, so Long Qi was invited to accept."
"A challenge?" Long Kui's gaze swept over Long Jue and the others. "You challenged Long Qi?"
Long Jue gritted his teeth, about to argue, when the branch elder burst out of the lakebed, panting heavily. "Elder Long Kui, this Long Qi is far too arrogant and ill-tempered. He attacked his own clansmen unprovoked, bullied his peers, and showed no regard for me, an elder. He even made outrageous remarks. Please report this to the clan leader and the Great Elder."
Long Kui frowned and looked at Lu Yin. "Long Qi, what exactly happened?"
Lu Yin smiled faintly. "A bunch of useless trash came looking for trouble."
The branch elder was furious. "Elder Long Kui, you heard him! This Long Qi is so arrogant that he dares to speak such vile words. He's a disgrace to the White Dragon Clan!"
Long Kui stared at Lu Yin. Why had this kid's attitude changed so much?
Lu Yin raised his eyes and met Long Kui's gaze. "These people tried to stop me from becoming a disciple. They were asking for death. They're lucky I didn't wipe them out."
