He tentatively raised his foot and stepped into a footprint, then walked from back to front, placing each step inside a footprint. Nothing happened. He tried again. There were more than ten footprints; perhaps this was the way Reverse Step was performed. If he wanted to verify it over and over, there were quite a few possibilities.

After testing several possibilities, Lu Yin gave up. At this rate, he had no idea how long it would take to try them all. He thought of Qian Zou, then walked out and brought him back in. Qian Zou wore a bewildered expression.
