"Senior Mirror God, are these giants from the Great Giant lineage?" Lu Yin asked curiously.
"Of course not. Ordinary Great Giants aren't that big, either. These are merely giants we constructed using Rune Dao Numbers. They're symbolic and have nothing to do with the Great Giant lineage."
Lu Yin looked at the giants kneeling beneath the landmass that bore the Hometown of Gods. "Every face is different."
"That's right. The giants are symbolic, and their faces belong to enemies our Hometown of Gods once defeated. Every enemy we kill must take the form of a giant and bear our Hometown of Gods as atonement. They must do so for a set number of years before they're released—or until a greater sinner takes their place," Mirror God explained.
Lu Yin frowned, reminded of the Lu family's Hero Ranking Platform.
The Lu family's Hero Ranking Platform had ranked its enemies for the sake of battle; it hadn't been intended to humiliate them. At least, that had never been Lu Yin's intention. No matter how deep the hatred, there was no need for that. But the Hometown of Gods truly did this to humiliate its enemies. That was its sole purpose. No wonder outsiders called them lunatics.
"If one day I accidentally became an enemy of the Hometown of Gods and was killed, would I end up like these people?" Lu Yin asked with a smile.
Mirror God was startled. He hurriedly said, "Alliance Leader Lu, please don't misunderstand! How could you ever be an enemy of our Hometown of Gods? Regardless of your friendship with Tai Yi Shen, I, Mirror God, have met you several times and admire you greatly. We aren't enemies now, and we never will be."
Lu Yin smiled. "You're taking me too seriously, Senior. I was only joking."
