Lu Yin and the others were caught in a sea of alien beasts. This forward base had originally held tens of thousands of soldiers. With the soldiers who had fled from the previous base added in, their numbers had reached nearly eighty thousand. But compared with the alien beast horde, they were insignificant. The beasts were individually stronger than many of the soldiers and had tough defenses. Without weapons to hold them back, the army quickly crumbled.
One warship after another took to the sky, their weapons bombarding the ground. By now, no one cared whether the blasts hit the soldiers. They aimed for places where the alien beasts were gathered and opened fire.
These warships carried no weapons capable of threatening Exploration Realm powerhouses. Even so, their armaments could kill Extreme Realm powerhouses in an instant. The bombardment soon slowed the beasts, though it also killed many soldiers.
Lu Yin and the others were inflicting considerable damage on the beasts, especially Liu Shaoqiu. Swords were made for killing, and each of his strikes carved a bloody path through the horde, drawing sidelong glances from the others.
Suddenly, several warships in the sky exploded. An invisible attack had destroyed them all.
High above, Zi Tie and Naba were fighting. Aside from the Exploration Realm powerhouses, the strongest people on the battlefield were Lu Yin and his group. But now another fighter had joined them: an alien beast hidden in the shadows.
The Giant Beast Starfield had its own academy, called Lingkong Academy. Its strongest students were ranked by the size and quality of the territories they occupied. Five beasts stood above the rest, dominating the academy. Ghost Marquis was one of them.
