The figure kept shifting, concealing herself in the light as she tried to hit Lu Yin.
But no matter how she attacked, it was useless. She couldn't even touch the hem of Lu Yin's clothes.
Lu Yin made his move. He grabbed the figure, then flickered into a corner. It was a dead end, and Lu Yin blocked the only way out. The people in the corridor outside would also have trouble seeing them here.
The figure became clear. She was a woman in the combat uniform of someone from Over Space-Time, staring at Lu Yin with apprehension and fear. What had caught his attention and made him pull her aside was the horn on her head. She was from Flowing Cloud Space.
"Let go," the woman snapped.
Lu Yin released her. "Don't try to attack me. You won't be able to bear the consequences."
The woman retreated several steps until she reached the wall and couldn't go any farther. She looked at Lu Yin without saying a word.
"Are you from Flowing Cloud Space?" Lu Yin asked curiously.
The woman sized him up. "You're not from Over Space-Time."
"Why?" Lu Yin asked in surprise.
"If you were from Over Space-Time, I would've already been taken away by now."
Lu Yin nodded. "I'm just curious. As someone from Flowing Cloud Space, why are you hiding inside the wall? Aren't you fighting here too?"
"Which space-time are you from?" the woman asked.
Lu Yin's gaze sharpened. An invisible pressure descended, as though the heavens were collapsing and the earth splitting apart, crushing the space around them.
The woman was horrified. In that instant, she felt a despair unlike anything she had ever known. The terrifying pressure, like a god descending upon the world, left her mind blank. Her body slowly crumpled,
