Lu Yin grabbed the Corpse King by the shoulder. Green light flashed in his palm, shattering half its body. As the Corpse King collapsed, he looked around. Blue light kept flashing across their platform. Shi Hong and the two men guarded three sides, making the platform practically impregnable.

But their strength also attracted more Corpse Kings.

One Corpse King after another fell, only for more to charge over moments later.

Several nearby platforms were completely silent, the ground stained red with blood.

"Sister Hong, we can't keep this up. It'll only draw more monsters. If one with over a million combat power shows up, none of us will be able to hold it off," one of the men said.

Shi Hong's expression darkened. "Rotate shifts. You take the lead and use the Blue Energy Source. We'll switch to green. Once you've used it all up, we'll take over."

Once only one of the three Blue Energy Sources remained, the number of Corpse Kings attacking their platform dropped noticeably.

Lu Yin and the others didn't sit idle either. They filled the gap in the defenses on one side, where plenty of Corpse Kings were charging at them. Fortunately, none of them had reached the Star Envoy Level.

Previously, only Corpse Kings at the Star Envoy Level could break through the defenses of the Energy Sources and carrier weapons. Now, all the Corpse Kings were charging in, though most were weak. Their corpses piled up like mountains.

"Brother-in-law, take it easy. Conserve your strength, or you'll run out of energy," Luo Lao Er reminded him. At some point, a palm-sized suit of armor had appeared on his chest. It shimmered with iridescent light and looked quite beautiful.
