Luo Zang stared blankly at Mu Jun, unable to believe Lu Yin's words.
Mu Jun's face was deathly pale. "I'm telling the truth. I didn't lie to you."
Lu Yin straightened up. "I should believe you. Your son was facing death, and I'd already learned of Luo Shan's plan to work with Young Yin Divine Venerable. I should believe you. No matter how you looked at it, you had no reason to lie to me just to protect Luo Shan. But from what I know about you, including what I learned of you as a child, I'm certain you don't care about Luo Zang. You don't care about anyone."
"You're talking nonsense!" Mu Jun roared.
Lu Yin began listing things Mu Jun had done, especially things from her childhood.
As Mu Jun listened, her face grew paler and paler. So many things revealed the kind of person she was: someone who scorned family ties, plotted every move, and was ruthless.
"Let me think. There are only two possible reasons you'd keep Luo Shan's secrets even in this situation." Lu Yin stared at Mu Jun. "First, he's controlling you somehow. You could even say you're his puppet. Asking you to betray him would be like asking him to betray himself, which is naturally impossible."
Mu Jun looked furious, her gaze vicious.
"Second, you're certain he can save you," Lu Yin said slowly.
At those words, Mu Jun's expression remained as furious and vicious as before. But that only made Lu Yin more certain that the second possibility was the truth.
"You're doing your best not to give yourself away, but people can't completely control themselves. Not even an Extreme Expert can fully control their emotions. You're deliberately putting on an act. It's the second possibility, isn't it?" Lu Yin leaned closer.
