Before leaving, Lu Yin first met the three Ancestor Realm experts from the Spiritualized Universe whom Star Toad had brought back.
The three were in despair. They had been brought to the Heavenly Sect, and their best possible fate was imprisonment. The worst, naturally, was death.
People from the Outer Universe were of little value to Lu Yin. They would never willingly submit to being conferred a title. Feng Bo's example had long since shown that creatures from the Outer Universe could not be appointed as generals. Using the dice's six pips to enter their bodies and read their memories was an even greater failure: he couldn't find any life from the Spiritualized Universe. How could he enter them?
Wars between universes were entirely different from wars within a universe. Lu Yin's methods had to change as well.
Concealing his aura, disguising himself to blend in, using the dice's six pips, and so on—all of it had lost its use.
He had to find new methods suited to wars between universes.
"Have you ever heard of Mount Yu Shen?" Lu Yin asked, his tone cold as he looked at the three. He continued releasing pressure, making it difficult for them to breathe.
The two men among them instinctively glanced at the woman.
Lu Yin's gaze settled on her.
"I'm from Mount Yu Shen," the woman said.
Lu Yin waved a hand, and the two men were taken away.
"Tell me everything you know about Mount Yu Shen," Lu Yin said calmly.
The woman didn't refuse. Who wanted to die if they could live? They had cultivated from ordinary people to the Ancestor Realm, enduring countless hardships along the way. The will to survive was instinctive. They might not necessarily fear death, but they were unwilling to die just like this.
