Countless lines surrounded him in a chaotic tangle. These lines were karma, with cause at one end and effect at the other, all intertwined.
He casually waved his hand, and countless karma lines fluttered. The lines collided with one another; some were knocked apart, while others connected.

For example, he saw a line that linked two seemingly unrelated battles, yet their connection revealed an old case. One side of the battle had caused the old case, while the side that had triggered the battle had uncovered it, ultimately leading to the battle. Yet the side that died had never known the reason until death.
