Frost Knife nodded and let out a heavy breath. "I fought this man for several rounds and was suppressed the entire time, without any power to fight back. If I hadn't escaped quickly, I'd already be dead." He turned to Old Chief. "In strength, consciousness, time, combat instincts—he outclassed me in every way. He's absolutely on Yu Sang Tian's level."
Those words made Old Chief and the others' expressions sink.
They had left the Realm of Intentions because they feared this mysterious expert, planning to use the endless road to launch a surprise attack. They had thought they'd succeeded, but it had been a diversion.
"He deliberately lured us out so he could come to Yi Tian Que. But how did he know about Yi Tian Que?" a woman asked. Her voice was pleasant and crisp.
Gui Shaoqing asked, "The other one was Destroy Wu Huang, right? Why did he come too?"
Frost Knife shook his head. "Destroy Wu Huang suddenly showed up and drew me away. Aside from that mysterious expert who can rival Yu Sang Tian, someone else must have gone in. I don't know who."
"Yu Sang Tian." Ye Ye spoke. He was the only one of the Thirteen Celestial Phenomena who hadn't willingly taken human form. In the past, he'd been arrogant, convinced the traps in the Realm of Intentions were enough to bury Yu Sang Tian, and so had disdained taking human form. Now, much of that arrogance was gone.
They hadn't been in control at all. On the contrary, they'd been manipulated precisely because they thought they were in control.
Old Chief looked toward the thatched cottage. Why had Yu Sang Tian known they would leave? How had he found Yi Tian Que? And why had that mysterious expert gone out of his way
