The meteorite clearly wasn't any kind of living creature, yet it still wanted to seize his consciousness.
"What exactly are you? Where did you come from?" Lu Yin didn't attack right away. Instead, he asked.
The meteorite's eyeballs shifted. Its expression was impossible to read, like a stagnant pool. At most, he could make out a few bloodshot veins that spoke of agitation and murderous intent.
It stared at Lu Yin for a while, then turned and left.
Lu Yin considered stopping it, but ultimately decided against it. The meteorite hadn't attacked them of its own accord, which meant it had its own stance. It had attacked Eternity earlier. Could it have some connection to him? Letting such an enemy go after Eternity wouldn't be a bad thing.
Yue Ya's pursuit had kept Lu Yin and the others focused on him, causing them to overlook Eternity. They had nearly let him succeed.
He wouldn't let that score go unpaid.
Cough, cough.
Lu Yin hurried over to the Progenitor. "Senior, your injuries are serious. You should heal first."
The Progenitor waved a hand and wiped away the blood. He smiled. "It's been a long time since I felt this way."
In Primordial City, the Progenitor had lost both arms and crouched on the ground, biting down on a Sequence String. Though he had been in a sorry state, it hadn't been because of a battle. Now, however, he had been injured in combat. Dozens of bloody gashes marked his back, and he had no idea how badly his insides were damaged.
There was no need to worry about anything else for now. Lu Yin took the Progenitor to find the Boundless. They would return to the Boundless first and figure out the rest later.
