I've heard of creatures who wanted to replace the universe and become the supreme existence. But if the universe were replaced, would it still be the universe? Would a creature still be the creature it once was? Would that creature ultimately be the universe or a creature?"

"It's a conjecture that's been around for a very long time. What the creature is, and whether it can replace the universe, don't matter. What matters is that the joke is very funny."

Lu Yin stared at the Transparent Moth, lost in thought. "A joke?"

"Yes. Sometimes jokes circulate through the universe, bringing a glimmer of light to this dark, boundless starry sky. For many creatures, a joke is light."
