Not only Dan Lie, but even Jue Ling, Yu Jing, and the others couldn't believe it. They'd attacked the cube for so long without leaving so much as a scratch, and Lu Yin was indeed much stronger than them—but not that much stronger.
This wasn't even the same dimension.
The cube shuddered. Where Lu Yin's arm had pierced through it, the stone blocks kept pressing together, trying to crush his arm.
Lu Yin made no visible move. The cube shattered and scattered in every direction.
Lu Yin grabbed Jue Huang and Ye Ge and tossed them toward Jue Ling and the others. Then he turned to Dan Lie, smiling. "Are you satisfied with the price?"
The shattered cube quickly reassembled, but some fragments had separated from the main body and drifted away, truly broken off.
Once the cube had reformed, it was nearly half its former size. It headed toward Dan Lie, clearly afraid.
Dan Lie's expression darkened completely. "Human, what's your name?"
Lu Yin looked at him with a smile. "And what's your name?"
They'd asked each other the same question, but their moods couldn't have been more different.
"Dan Lie."
Lu Yin's expression shifted. "Dan Lie?"
Dan Lie frowned. "You seem surprised."
Lu Yin nodded, studying him closely. "Your surname is unusual."
Dan Lie's eyes widened as he stared at Lu Yin. Then he burst out laughing. "You know that surname. You know about the Lost Race. Are you one of them? Or have you encountered them?"
"I've encountered them, and I know where they are." Lu Yin didn't deny it.
