Lu Yin hadn't expected Mu Zhu to come looking for him. "Senior Sister, is something the matter?"
Mu Zhu looked at Lu Yin and smiled faintly. "You must be feeling conflicted."
Lu Yin nodded. "It's hard."
"Giving up your homeland and traveling to a distant battlefield to fight for a way forward for your civilization. Junior Brother, to Human Civilization, you're a great man."
Lu Yin smiled wryly. "I don't want to be great. I just want the people I care about to live well. That's enough."
"Unfortunately, the simpler the wish, the harder it is to fulfill."
At that, he looked back at Mu Zhu. "Senior Sister, is this how you and Master felt when you left your universe?"
Mu Zhu gave a helpless smile. "We didn't have time to feel anything. We were too busy escaping for our lives."
Lu Yin thought about it and realized she was right. They hadn't had time to say goodbye to the past.
"Even so, we did learn a few things. For example, what it means to give something up."
"Give something up?"
"Not the way you understand it. We gave up our roots and lost our Soul's Destination. You're only giving up this universe temporarily. The people you take with you are your Soul's Destination."
Lu Yin understood. "So you came here specifically to comfort me."
Mu Zhu smiled. "I'm your senior sister, after all. I can't usually do much to help you, so I thought I'd say a few words to comfort you."
Lu Yin chuckled. "You don't have to. I've made my decision, so I'll bear it myself."
"Did what I said make you feel any better?"
"Much better."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
"Then I'll be going?"
"Wait." Lu Yin looked at Mu Zhu curiously. "What happened to your
