Everyone aboard the War Boat was dumbfounded. They had truly believed they were evacuating. Everything the Nine Heavens Universe had done had reinforced that impression, deceiving them—and the entire Human Civilization.

It had all been part of a grand scheme, a plan that had mobilized the entire Human Civilization. It would have been impossible without the Eternal Life Realm experts working together.

Now that the plan had reached its conclusion, everyone had contributed, from Lu Yin and the others who had devised it to those aboard the War Boat. No one had been used by anyone else; they had all done their part for the Human Civilization.

There was no reason for anyone to resent what had happened. They had simply made a trip. More importantly, seeing Lu Yin fight in the All-Sense Universe made everyone feel they had witnessed history. They were fortunate.

Five years later, Lu Yin returned to the Nine Heavens Universe with Master Cao, who was promptly sent away.

"Mr. Lu, you didn't treat me this way when you needed to use me," Master Cao said. He knew this was the Human Civilization's greatest victory yet against the Bug Nest Civilization, surpassing even their earlier triumph over the droplet-shaped Azure Immortal. He wanted to meet Luo Chan, too.

Lu Yin was blunt. "I'm afraid you'll release Luo Chan when we aren't looking."

Master Cao was speechless. "I have absolutely nothing to do with Luo Chan."

"Who knows? Unless you swear to stand firmly with the Human Civilization, tell us everything about the Unknown, and make amends to Mijin Supreme for your past mistakes, we can't accept you," Lu Yin said.

Master Cao shook his head and left.

Lu Yin watched him go. He'd been so certain. Just how much did Master Cao know about the Unknown?
