Lu Yin looked at the distant, multicolored Divine Tree. He hadn't expected this twist. It was good news for Human Civilization: with protection from The Unknown for a thousand years, Red Hero couldn't attack the Threefold Universe. Of course, they couldn't attack Star Under Red Clothes Civilization either.
That was a very tempting offer.
He had always worried that Red Hero would launch a sneak attack on the Threefold Universe. He had even gone so far as to look for a way to trap Red Hero inside Star Under Red Clothes Civilization.
But no method could work against someone with no moral limits.
Red Hero was free to do whatever he wanted, as long as he didn't attack Lu Yin personally.
A thousand years wasn't long. It was merely a perk granted by The Unknown. The more likely reason was that the Unknown combatants needed a thousand years to recover from their injuries. Otherwise, an enemy might take advantage of that time to do something that would harm those who had fought.
Whatever the reason, Lu Yin needed those thousand years.
A thousand years was enough time for him to make another breakthrough or two. At the very least, he could visit Eternal Life Civilization, try to pluck more of the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow's eyes, build a mental barrier, track down Da Mao, and do many, many other things.
No matter how brutal the war got, with Instant Movement and Crow Immobilization, he could escape unless he ran into someone who had mastered threefold universal laws.
"Eight Colors, with my strength, you won't match me against some old monster who's mastered two or three universal laws, will you?" Lu Yin asked.
"This is war," Eight Colors replied. "We can only win, not lose. Every member of The Unknown is precious."
