Treading the Stars!
Lu Yin stood with Ancestor Chen atop Earth's highest peak, letting the planet turn beneath them as they watched the stars, countless as clouds.
To them, it made no difference where they stood; they could see the entire starry sky from anywhere. As Lu Yin had said, they had chosen Earth in hopes of a little good luck.
Ten years passed, and Lu Yin was still gazing at the stars. Earth had its days and nights, but their eyes transcended the firmament itself. The stars had never left their sight.
Another ten years passed. Lu Yin was still looking up at the sky, at the stars he had grown so familiar with, hoping to incorporate them into the Star Dou Fist Score and find a fist intent of his own.
Ten years passed, then another ten. Ten years passed, then another ten.
Forty years had passed since they came to Earth.
One day, a meteor streaked across the sky. The night was beautiful. Lu Yin turned his gaze back to Earth and watched the meteor shower with countless other Earthlings. Each meteor was like a fist intent, streaking across the sky. He hoped to seize those intents, but they were not truly fist intents. Each one required comprehension. He could do it, but it would still take a long time.
He looked at Ancestor Chen. At some point, Chen's aura had become utterly tranquil. The fist intents he had comprehended over a thousand years had completely dispersed—not vanished, but merged into the stars in the distance.
Those stars had come from Ancestor Chen in the first place, from the Heavenly Star Art.
