"Did no one in your tribe object to trading with me?" Lu Yin asked.
The Invisible Creature replied solemnly, "No."
Lu Yin smiled. "It seems these materials are very important to you."
"You're mistaken. We don't accept the trade because we need the materials."
"Oh?"
"It's because we're wary of you, sir."
Lu Yin found that rather interesting. "Is it wise to say that so openly? Aren't you worried I'll threaten you even more?"
The Invisible Creature said, "As long as you need the Invisibility Seeds, you won't make things difficult for us. And given your strength, this trade has to continue. We must keep providing Invisibility Seeds to your civilization. This is a trade entirely on your terms. Why would we object?"
Lu Yin's interest in the Invisibility Tribe surged. They looked at things from a very different angle than most.
"I hope one day you'll take me to visit your tribe."
The Invisible Creature left immediately. A visit? That would be letting a wolf into the den.
Lu Yin smiled. He didn't mind. He was trying to figure out the tribe's motives by analyzing the materials they traded.
Every action taken by an intelligent being had its logic, and the Invisibility Tribe was no exception. Or rather, the Invisibility Civilization.
Those materials weren't particularly special. At least, they were meaningless to Eternal Life Realm beings. Yet the tribe needed them badly enough to reveal itself and trade with the Lindao Divine Palace. Something about that didn't add up.
He handed the materials over to the Hui Jin Civilization and the various Eternal Life Realm beings for analysis, hoping they could find something useful. They came up empty.
Perhaps the materials were only a small part of what the tribe needed. Even with analysis, they would need more samples.
