Lu Yin was uneasy and hurriedly examined himself. He hadn't been harmed, but when he released the Karma Heavenly Path, a mark flashed and vanished within it, like a shooting star, only to appear again and keep darting around. It was very bright.
He stared at the mark, his heart sinking to the bottom. He hadn't had it before. It belonged to Saint Three-Patterned Xia Ziye. His first thought wasn't that he'd gained something, but that he'd taken on a burden.
A powerful sense of unease enveloped him.
He tried to remove the mark, but nothing worked. No matter what method he used, he couldn't get rid of it. He immediately sought out the Transparent Jellyfish and the Black Beetle, who were both floating in space, half dead.
When Lu Yin arrived, the Black Beetle sensed him and rasped, "What happened to the Young Master?"
"He's dead."
"What?" The Black Beetle was aghast. "You stopped it?"
Lu Yin asked in a low voice, "What's that mark?"
The Black Beetle laughed, a miserable laugh laced with glee. "You're finished. You're finished! Hahahaha! You actually killed Saint Three-Patterned Xia Ziye. Do you know what kind of being it was? It was a junior of the same race as a Main Dao Master. It belonged to one of the main races of the entire universe. You actually killed it! You're finished. You'll become the enemy of the entire universe. All the Main Dao Powers will hunt you down. You're dead for sure."
Lu Yin stared at the Black Beetle. "That mark is a sign that the Main Dao will hunt me down?"
"That's right," the Black Beetle replied.
Lu Yin furrowed his brow. He hadn't expected something like this to happen. He'd only been looking for civilizations when these few creatures had attacked
