The Fourth Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-Ninth Chapter: The Cause and Effect of Everything
Blood Peach Blossom stared in horror. "Y-you?"
"Who is he?"
"You saw him? You saw him through cause and effect?"
"Who is he?" Lu Yin asked again.
Blood Peach Blossom stared blankly at Lu Yin, saying nothing.
Lu Yin came up to Blood Peach Blossom and stared at it. "Tell me, who is he? What exactly is your relationship?"
Blood Peach Blossom's voice was solemn. "There are many humans. He has nothing to do with you."
Lu Yin stared at Blood Peach Blossom. "I still want to know where he came from."
"I don't know."
"Is he the one who gave you your awareness?"
"Yes."
"What's his name?"
"I don't know."
"Where is he?"
Blood Peach Blossom said, "We're waiting for him too. We've been waiting for countless years, and we're still waiting."
"What happened back then? Tell me," Lu Yin asked.
Blood Peach Blossom sneered. "What do I stand to gain by telling you?"
Lu Yin looked at it. Blood Peach Blossom was determined to die; no benefit could possibly sway it.
He thought for a long time, then spoke quietly. "If I can find him, I can pass on a message for you."
Blood Peach Blossom's body trembled as it stared at Lu Yin.
"I can pass on any message. You have my word," Lu Yin said.
Blood Peach Blossom's gaze grew intense. It seemed to want to say something, yet didn't know what. It closed its eyes, its voice trembling. "Tell him this for me: we all hate him."
"We hate that he gave us awareness. We understood nothing before. We grew and withered, a process that might have been long or short. But he gave us awareness, gave us emotions, gave us a desire to live, a yearning for eternal life, and a longing for freedom."
