Just as they were about to leave, a figure walking through the darkness abruptly appeared, blocking their way.

A stream of pure black energy. It was a being from the Death Universe.
Here, that meant a member of the Death Master Clan.
Beings from the Master Clans of Life, Time, Karma, and other Main Daos were of the same clan as their respective masters. Their masters protected and nurtured them. But the beings of the Death Master Clan and the Consciousness Master Clan had been created by their masters.
If their master existed, they existed. If their master ceased to exist, the entire Master Clan would vanish with them.
Lu Yin hadn't expected a being from the Death Master Clan to come, too. Its aura of darkness dimmed even the sky above Cloud Court.
Ming Di and Shi Buhuan looked at the Death Master Clan being blocking their way, exchanging wary glances.
Although the Main Dao of Death had once been exiled and hunted by the other Main Daos, Death Lord's strength had made up for that. The battle at Giant City had shown every other being what death truly meant.
It could be said that the return of the Main Dao of Death had cost the forces under the Main Daos a third of their total strength.
That was an
