As white light appeared, the shattered bones seemed to be drawn by some force. They gathered around Lu Yin from across the scattered stars, knitting themselves back onto his body inch by inch.
The approach of the Chang Ming Staff and the loss of control over time could not stop the bone fragments from appearing. It was as if they belonged to another world, another state.
"Life has never been perfect."
"Bu Qing, have you ever wondered, at any point in your life, whether you were truly perfect?" Lu Yin said slowly. Once his bones had been fully restored, a feeling that made even Bu Qing's heart quail washed over them.
Bu Qing stared at Lu Yin in astonishment. "You?"
Lu Yin smiled brightly. This was the second Dao Law he had brought into harmony with the universe: Life Can Never Be Perfect.

Perhaps life's imperfection was the lesson the universe had taught them.
