Lu Yin recalled what the Great Palace Lord had said. Had he grasped anything? Inevitably.
"Before the Great Palace Lord emerged, our Human Civilization had stood its ground in Outer Heaven because your Luck Master Clan forced us into it." Lu Yin looked at Yun Xin. "The Luck Master used the lives of all humanity to make me do it. That's why none of you could understand why we entered Outer Heaven. We knew we'd die once the Masters returned, but we still came."
"Because we had no choice."
"But now we do."
Yun Xin said gravely, "The Great Palace Lord is enslaving you."
Lu Yin retorted, "At least we have a hope of survival."
"You could simply leave."
"Tell me, where could we go that the Luck Master wouldn't find us?"
Yun Xin was at a loss for words. Where could they go and not be found? It didn't know.
Lu Yin looked at it. "You even dared to say you could find the Immortal Feather Civilization. Wouldn't the Luck Master have an even easier time finding us?"
Yun Xin sighed. "If you were only being forced to fight for your lives, you wouldn't have gone this far."
"We are fighting for our lives. I didn't tell you before because I wanted to muddle your thoughts and make it harder to tell friend from foe. Now that I've told you, you know our Human Civilization was never protected by your Luck Master. It was only using us. So you can attack us without feeling any guilt, right?"
"But it doesn't matter if I tell you now. The Great Palace Lord was right. It's our path. If humanity has no choice in the end, I, Lu Yin, am willing to sacrifice myself for the sake of our civilization."
