The Great Palace Lord looked displeased. "Human, don't be so insatiable."

Lu Yin didn't care. "Just tell me whether you're willing."

The Great Palace Lord stared at Lu Yin, its gaze cold and ominous.

The answer was obvious. It had no choice but to agree.

There wasn't another Jiang Qi to be found anywhere in the universe.

"What are your conditions?"

Lu Yin clasped his hands behind his back. "You're sheltering Human Civilization for more than just our sake. We can help you too, so that can't count as a condition. My conditions are..."

"First, I won't sacrifice my own clones."

The Great Palace Lord narrowed its eyes. Back when it had broken through the blockade and sought to control Human Civilization, it had been wary of Lu Yin above all. That was why it had forced him to destroy his clones, denying him the chance to grow stronger by merging with them. In truth, this had been another way of imposing a limit on him.

If it weren't for that, Lu Yin wouldn't have used the Great Realm Heart to pressure it, let alone risked his life fighting it.

It was no surprise that Lu Yin had raised this condition.

"Of course, you can destroy my clones yourself, if you're capable." Lu Yin added this. He knew how wary the Great Palace Lord was of him, so he was giving it a way out.

Any living being made different choices when it had a way out.

At his words, the Great Palace Lord's gaze softened. "You're willing to let me make the attempt?"

Lu Yin smiled wryly. "Trust only exists between equals. You and I aren't equals. I'd rather agree than watch you break your promise. If you're capable, then kill my clones. I won't hold it against you."
