The Life Master stared at the figure on the Red Platform in the distance. How detestable. They had all failed to recover their memories and had been used by the humans. No matter what they said now, there was no way to convince those two.
On the Red Platform, Xiang Siyu sat cross-legged, her stunning face turned toward the Death Lord. "You're still alive? What agreement did you reach with Life? You even got it to give up the fortune of the Chaotic Era."
The Death Lord growled, "Masters cannot die. This era is locked in place. You can't bring about the Chaotic Era, and there's no such thing as a great fortune."
Xiang Siyu rose and turned to Lu Yin. "You started this battle. I heard what you said earlier, too. What are the Three Laws?"
Lu Yin shrugged. "They're working together against us. The Three Laws must be an agreement they made among themselves."
The Life Master glared at Lu Yin. "Human, what you're doing now is pointless. Things will only get worse for you."
Lu Yin smiled. "If the Chaotic Era arrives, I might break straight through to the Master level. Why should I fear you?" As he spoke, he looked at Xiang Siyu. "You have two choices. Either help Time, Life, and the Death Lord kill me and the Karma Master—and the Chaotic Era can begin."
"Or help us deal with those three."
"Choose."
By rights, Xiang Siyu's safest choice was to side with the Life Master and the others. She could be certain of killing the Karma Master and Lu Yin, and she could bring about the Chaotic Era as she wished.
But she couldn't, because the bond between the Life Master, the Death Lord, and the others was far too strong.
