Si Jiu Shi smiled. He wanted to stay by Seventh Brother's side and watch every old acquaintance react in shock. The younger generation's guesses were pretty interesting, too.
The universe was only interesting with Seventh Brother in it.
Lu Yin smiled at Chu Wan'er. She was respectful and wore a polite smile, appearing composed, but there was a hint of nervousness in her eyes.
She longed to hear an answer, no matter how unbelievable it might be, yet she also dreaded hearing it. If he really was the person she suspected, the universe, peaceful for countless eons, would surely be thrown into upheaval.
A while passed.
Lu Yin didn't answer. She looked up and was surprised to find him watching the competition.
The final match began. One team came from the Life Yao Domain, the other from the Karma Domain.
The earlier matches had given people the mistaken impression that Human Civilization was taking on the other five great Yao Domains by itself, since so many of its teams had entered. In truth, many had been eliminated as well. Of the teams remaining, only three belonged to Human Civilization.
Of course, once this match ended, only eight teams would remain. Three out of eight was still quite a lot.
The two teams competing now had caught Lu Yin's eye for a reason. One had developed a completely new understanding of karma—or, one could say, a new application of karma after countless eons of development: connecting the far and the near through karma. In fact, that was the team's name: Connecting the Far and the Near Through Karma. Simple and blunt.
As for the other team, Lu Yin narrowed his eyes. He should have been familiar with them; he'd fought them many times. They were genuine members of the Life Master
