On the other side, deep beneath the frozen planet, Star Fox put down his Personal terminal and looked toward the Black-faced Killer and the childlike killer a short distance away.
"In the past six months, the Great Yu Empire has taken too much of our Cosmic Shield intelligence. Their goal is obvious: they want to use it to develop Dark Sons so they can conquer the Outer Universe in the future. Are we really going to let this man join?" Star Fox couldn't help asking. He still wasn't convinced; he had a feeling Lu Yin would cause trouble.
The Black-faced Killer's voice was low. "Let him do as he pleases. Our goal is to preserve Cosmic Shield. Until we can protect ourselves completely, we have to rely on him."
"With the Glory Hall as our shield, we can indeed act more boldly. But I also think Lu Yin is far too complicated. We rely on his standing in the Glory Hall, but all he wants from us is intelligence? This man's ambition is greater than the sky," the childlike killer said.
Star Fox agreed. Everyone in the Outer Universe, even children, knew of Lu Yin's ambition. He wanted to unite the entire Outer Universe.
The Black-faced Killer's gaze was icy, but deep in his eyes was a complicated mix of emotions, including helplessness.
Cosmic Shield was one of the Outer Universe's four great financial conglomerates, an organization that combined spear and shield. It commanded countless mercenaries and assassins, and it dominated the Outer Universe with an iron fist. That was all outsiders saw. Who could see their helplessness?
Lu Yin had seen it, and used it. All they could do was cooperate. That was what a true person in power did.
What if he was only at the Exploration Realm?
