History
The Six Continents
Ancient legend holds that human civilization once possessed six continent-scale realms: the First through Sixth Continents. Each was infinitely vast, contained countless planets and regions, and possessed its own Dao Origin Sect—the origin and destination of its cultivators. 623
The First through Fourth Continents collapsed and disintegrated for unknown reasons. The Fifth and Sixth Continents survived until the final era of the Dao Origin Sect. 623 2851
Dao Origin Sect Era
The Fifth Continent's Dao Origin Sect was once its supreme cultivation institution. At its height, it produced the Nine Mountains and Eight Seas, including figures such as Ancestor Chen. 1477 1836
Its ruins remained accessible through Dao Pu tokens after its destruction. The duration of entry depended on a user's spirit, energy, and mind; ordinary users could generally remain for around fifteen days. 623
Ancient War and Collapse
One account states that the Fifth Continent invaded the Sixth Continent, suffered a crushing defeat, and subsequently saw its Dao Origin Sect collapse and its landmass shatter into the starry sky. 623
Later testimony disputes the simple invasion narrative. The Sea King stated that a traitor from the Fifth Continent deliberately provoked the war, while the Sixth Continent was manipulated into becoming a weapon of the “monsters” behind the conflict. 1635
Regardless of the war's true instigator, its aftermath devastated the Fifth Continent:
- Its Dao Origin Sect was abandoned and destroyed. 623
- Its fragments merged with the remnants of the First through Fourth Continents. 623 2696
- The Sixth Continent took or replaced its “sky,” preventing the Fifth Continent from producing new Ancestor Realm experts for an immense period. 1635 2064
- Ancestor Hui later laid a long-term scheme that contributed to the Sixth Continent's collapse. 1145 1737
Sixth Continent Invasion
The Sixth Continent later invaded the Fifth Continent's Inner Universe. Its purpose was not only plunder: after the Sea King restored the Fifth Continent's heavens, the invaders sought to eliminate the possibility of the Fifth Continent once again producing Ancestor Realm experts. 954
The invaders held a major average advantage in cultivation. At equal levels, Fifth Continent cultivators were generally suppressed by Sixth Continent cultivators, who possessed Imprints and Bloodlines. 830
During the invasion, the Sixth Continent:
- Occupied and exploited much of the Inner Universe. 867
- Transported minerals, Star Energy Marrow, libraries, cultivation methods, Battle Skills, and captives back to its own territory. 954
- Faced a celestial phenomenon that forced combatants in the Inner Universe to suppress their combat power below 200,000. 839
- Underestimated the Fifth Continent's hidden foundations, including its surviving inheritances and Half Ancestor-level experts. 986 1157
When the Sixth Continent later suffered a catastrophic Monster invasion, its leading families and descendants were transferred through the gap into the Fifth Continent's Upper Realm. 1237
Eternal Clan Crisis
The Fifth Continent became a major battlefield against the Eternal Clan. After Lu Yin's disappearance, it was reorganized into Heavenly Gates led by Half Ancestors, using Original Treasure Formations for mutual support and rapid deployment. 2071
Zhuo's Plan caused the Star Energy and Star Source of cultivators tied to the Fifth Continent to flow backward, severely injuring the continent's cultivation civilization. 2418 2420
Lu Yin ultimately restored the Fifth Continent's Star Source Universe, ending the immediate crisis and earning widespread recognition as its Dao Master. 2470
Institutions and Defense
| Institution / System | Role |
|---|---|
| Dao Origin Sect | The ancient core of the Fifth Continent's cultivation civilization; its ruins preserve lost opportunities and inheritances. 623 822 |
| Nine Mountains and Eight Seas | The pinnacle powers of the Dao Origin Sect's peak era. 1477 |
| Heavenly Gates | Half Ancestor-led defensive divisions created to protect humanity from the Eternal Clan. 2071 |
| Heavenly Sect | The organization that later unified the Fifth Continent through military strength, administration, and economic coordination. 2383 |
| Fifth Tower | A nine-layer inheritance tower created to distribute Battle Skills, cultivation methods, resources, and Secret Techniques to the wider population. 1955 1956 |
| Fourth Formation Base | A Tree Starry Sky defensive base taken over by Fifth Continent forces and defended using their micro-formation weapons. 2343 2420 |
Cultivation Heritage
Dao Origin Sect Inheritances
The Fifth Continent's Dao Origin Sect was described by Sixth Continent cultivators as the origin of cultivation methods, Battle Skills, and Bloodline inheritances. 822
Its destruction did not erase all of its legacy:
- Dao Pu tokens allow qualified cultivators to enter the sect's ruins. 623
- Ancient inheritances from Ancestor Chen, Ancestor Hui, the Rune Ancestor, and the shattered continents remain part of the Fifth Continent's hidden foundation. 1445 986
- The continent's younger generation produced numerous elite cultivators despite the Sixth Continent's higher average strength. 641 977
Widely Used Cultivation Systems
In the era of the Heavenly Gates, the Fifth Continent broadly developed and disseminated several paths to resist the Eternal Clan:
- Battle Qi
- Domain
- Essence
- Qi
- Spirit
- Death Qi
- Micro Array Technology
- Meteorite Energy 2071
Will of the Fifth Continent
The Fifth Continent possesses a mysterious will linked to its space-time. This will cannot be observed by the Celestial Eye and is described as an invisible connection akin to prayer or blessing rather than a usable sequence rule. 2843
Lu Yin's Sky Turning Palm once resonated with this will strongly enough to make the entire Fifth Continent seem to tremble. 2843

Trivia
- A “continent” can contain countless planets because much of its structure consists of vacuum connected by threads of land rather than uninterrupted solid ground. 624
- The Fifth Continent's Star River divides its Inner and Outer Universes, while its branches further divide the Inner Universe into flow realms. 954
- The Fifth Continent is associated with at least several Mountain Seas, remnants of the Nine Mountains and Eight Seas era. 2348
- Humanity eventually rose to become one-fifth of the Universe, standing alongside the powers of Time, Karma, Destiny, and Life. 5363
